How to Jailbreak (hack) your PS3 Slim

If you own a PS3 slim and you'd like to jailbreak it (read: hack) this video will show you what to do. You'll be dealing with a firmware of 3.41 or lower, and you'll need an iPhone (2G or 3G only) or an iPod Touch (First Generation Only)

Firmware of iOS 3.1.2/3.1.3/4.0.0/4.0.1/ (confirmed) jailbroken with PwnageTool, Redsn0w or blackra1n (NOT Spirit).

Here are the steps:

Download PSFreedom for iPhone 3G:(works on 3.1.2 - 3.1.3 - 4.0 )

Download Zaxtron Front End v3:

(which is a multi-firmware and payload solution for iPhone users.)

here.

Download Iphone Browser:

here.

Install OpenSSH On Iphone 3G:

here.

Now install PSFreedom to your iphone

(start at step 3.)

here.

Now extract zaxtron's front end and open iphone browser.

So when iphone browser is connected go to /private/var directory and replace the android.img.gz & zImage on your iphone with the ones provided in zaxtron's front end v0.3

Finally reboot your iphone when iboot loads select the android and boot PSFreedom and jailbreak your PS3's.
